Useful tips:
1) Look out for 'disguised quadratics' - such as (log x)^2 can be 'represented' as y^2 , then solve the quadratics.
2) Apply the rules- mostly product and quotient rules
3) With exponents, try and see if you can make the base the same value--> then, just solve the exponents as equations
4) memorise the laws of exponents/ logarithms if possible (although that's given in the formula booklet)
